Trip Information
We are looking forward to your team joining us at Basecamp soon! Below are a few final pieces of information to know before your trip is here.
If you have not already, as soon as possible please send us a copy of your airline information as well as a list of your team members.
You will have to verbally give the immigration officer where you are staying. THERE IS NO FORM FOR IMMIGRATION ON THE AIRPLANE…. You are staying at:
San Pedro Del Poas Alajuela
Rice and Beans Ministries Camp
Calle San Jose 3km sur del parque.
You are traveling as a tourist, also have a copy of your return flight info in hand.
Manuel, with skycab, or one of his guys will be waiting for you in the airport at baggage claim to help you. They will have a sign with the trip leaders name on it coming in to baggage claim. Please tip them $3-$5 a bag as they don’t receive a salary and they bring you through customs to the bus outside. Only tip the leader that brings the luggage.
We will be waiting for you outside of customs with your bus.
If you tip our team (8 people) and the bus driver please put it in an envelope and I will distribute among the team. Please tell your team members don’t tip people individually this can cause hurt feelings. Please don’t tip the bus driver separately.
If your luggage get lost or something goes wrong give the airline and my number: +506-8723-0814.
In the case of an emergency in the USA they can call Fred at (601)325-0294.
Lastly please remember that clothing needs to be respectful while at Basecamp and while out in Costa Rica. We are asking that if anyone is wearing shorts , a minimum of a 5” inseam required, many people now use scrubs. Spandex is only to be worn with shorts. I understand the USA culture, but we are the missionaries. RABMIN must maintain the integrity of a Christian based ministry. Thank you for understanding this.
